At Tensta Dansar Festival
Stockholm, Sweden
Performance by Harpa Dögg Kjartansdóttir and Tanja Tuurala
The performance is based on 13 exchanges from our 13 month process, the project takes it´s final shape in 13 videos that are 13 seconds each. Both the process and the videos are created in an active online dialog without meeting in person. Challenging time, space and relations by filling in and accepting.
Our project is a process based collaboration between me, a visual artist and Tanja Tuurala, a choreographer and a dancer. It develops during the whole process of 13 months in a dialog using photos of objects, videos of movements and drawings as our materiality. The exchanges consist of answering and sending material to each other. By combining the responses and thinking process from the exchanges, a verse is composed. Each verse or component creates new needs and new directions are made evident. We rethink, remake and restructure. The project is constantly taking shape, verses are building up and changing with influence from each new component.
We had this live performance in Stockholm (Sweden) where we could explore online dialog and interactions between us using a live streaming from Reykjavík (Iceland).
